Yogic Consciousness

This year in August I found out that Peter Heehs  in his book: The Lives of Sri Aurobindo - stated that Aurobindo  suffered from "an inherent streak of madness" -   implied,  he didn't attain Supermind.
Heehs',  and others  of same opinion have no idea that Supermind and its Bliss-Essence  can't be reached by the reasoning mind,  so he/they sooth themselves  with nonsensical theorizing about the state of mind of one whose Soul got Initiated to this Kosmic address.
The non-initiated mind's impulse/motive invents absurd notions in order to shine before others  with 'look at me, I'm  smarter than the one some call "giant of consciousness!'
These types of assertions generate instant  attention . . . After all,  Aurobindo has been called "giant of consciousness",  so instantly the Heehs' of the world compulsive need to feel  superior,  jump into word-action because they are utterly convinced  they have the power to  strip the "giant" of his/her power.  These  special people types can fool a lot of  unsuspecting folks  -  and we, those of us who know better, supposed to say nothing?
Academics, and non-academic folks (without Yogic consciousness) are  NOT in a position to comprehend the highest-level Gnosis.  Some can sound very clever, but clever thinking does not evidence  mystical wisdom.

Aurobindo stated (and I agree that):

Mind cannot go outside its cycle - all ideas of a straight line of movement or of progress reaching infinitely upward or sidewise into the Infinite is a delusion.

The Upanishad lists ten ascending levels of bliss before one reaches the apex-point of  Ananda Bliss--and each level a hundredfold the intensity of the proceeding level.
Precisely!   Anyone whose Anada Purusha (eternal self-Soul) gets  plugged  via the Crown chakra  to the Essence of the Absolute Supreme  feels  its Influence in every atom  of our being. We  see with the  eyes of flesh and spiritualised  consciousness  Light-aura field  around our head/body.
Aurobindo expressed this beautifully in his poem titled: The Bliss of Brahman  (snippet)

I have become a foam-white sea of bliss,
I am curling wave of God's delight,
A shapeless flow of happy passionate light,
A whirlpool of the Streams of Paradise.

I am a cup of His felicities,
A thunderbolt of His golden ecstasy's  might,
A fire of joy upon creation's height,
I am His rapture's wonderful abyss.

Again in Sri Aurobindo's words:

Therefore when the heart and life turn towards the Highest and the Infinite, they arrive not at an abstract existence or non-existence, a Sat or else a Nirvana, but an infinite I am of bliss, and Ananda Purusha;  nor can they emerge and lose consciousness and bliss in featureless existence, but must insist on ALL three in one, for delight of existence is their highest power and without consciousness delight cannot be possessed. That is the sense of the supreme figure of the interest Indian religion of love, Sri Krishna, the All-blissful and All-beautiful.
- The Synthesis of Yoga, p. 3: The Yoga of Divine Love, ch.5 The Divine Personality, pp 554-555.

If he didn't experience this,  (poems) The Bliss of Brahman,  The Bride of Fire and Bliss of Identity, wouldn't  have been written.
We wouldn't know about the great value and importance of certain  mystical states/experiences, if we didn't get Initiated to this 'Ultimate Consummation'  station-point.
Anyone who is ready to commit to the Divine within ones innermost sanctuary, will go through  years of Love's purifying trials and arrive  . . .

In closing:  Recently I chanced upon a quote attributed to the author of the  Dead Sea Scrolls - whose words' meaning is filled-to-brim with  radiance of a mystical illumination . . .which  ascended Souls world over  no matter the tradition can relate to.

I have reached the inner vision and through Thy Spirit in me I have heard Thy wondrous secret, through Thy mystic insight Thou hast caused a spring of knowledge to well up within me, a fountain of power, pouring forth living waters, a flood of love and all embracing wisdom, like the splendor  of eternal light.

Soul-Infused Personality

Authentically Soul-infused personality is  completely invisible to folks with ego based personality. They see our contemplative conclusions  (empirical data verified by our community of the adequate) as the product of  irrational/delusional/insane mind.  This is why I  don't try to convince anyone of anything  because I know it is literally impossible!  And this is as it should be, because people can only meet another as they've met themselves.  They have the right to their opinion, I have the right to Protect what introduced itself to the awareness of my ascended Soul. . .and, in a non-attached way hold up a mirror to their ego based world-view.  At this stage we  know what solitude and non-attachment is, and crave not companionship with folks whose ego desires are stronger than the pull of innermost Soul's  influence.
                                         Out of Countless Tears (mine)
                                         She Fashioned a Mighty Sword
To Protect That Which I was
                                         Allowed to See.

I am forever grateful to Aurobindo for *having my back*.  . .Grateful, he wrote these (verifying)  words in: A Synthesis of Yoga:
Therefore when the heart and life turns towards the Highest and the Infinite, they arrive not at an abstract existence or non-existence, a Sat or else Nirvana, but an infinite I am of bliss and Ananda Purusha; nor can they emerge  and lose consciousness and bliss in featureless existence, but must insist on All three in one, for delight of  existence is their highest power and, without consciousness delight cannot be possessed. That is the sense of the supreme figure of the interest Indian religion of love, Sri Krishna, the All-blissful and all-beautiful.

Even  the Mother - Aurobindo's spiritual partner -  said after his passing, that  he "remains an enigma" (to her).
Aurobindo knew when he began writing Savitri that its message 'was  not intended for the general public'.  I am pretty sure I mentioned that when I  Google-chanced upon  Savitri  and realized it was a very long poem I had no desire to  look at it. Then one day gave it a  quick look-see here and there, and realized he was talking about the things I was already aware of!
He knew,  and wasn't afraid to say that, the 'message is lost' to ego-based personality.
The following excerpt  from Savitri, 4.3.100 - tells it like it is:

Men are so much engrossed in the crowded life of senses they are hardly
aware of themselves as part of the movements in which they
are carried helter and skelter.
Even the few who have become conscious of their mental selves and stand aloof  from the
external life, are lost in the noise of their thought-activity and emotional turmoils.
They are not aware of their soul nor the intimations that came from it.
The soul, delegate of the Eternal in the evolution speaks its own language but
surface person is hardly attentive to it.
And even when the word manages to catch the inner ear, the necessary understanding
to comprehend it is not there. It is interpreted or misinterpreted in the inferior
terms of the working mind. The message is lost.

Mystical revelations reveal themselves to the  spiritual practitioner who submits their will to Lord's Will.  Everyone is invited to find out for themselves  what  (genuine) mystics world-over did, no matter the tradition. I have been describing what my Journey through Light and Sound  has been  like in cyber places that allows 'spirituality',  and found out in a hurry  I'm an easy  target  for peoples aggressive treatment.  For years I've endured character assassinations,  threats of banning me,  informed: "you have nothing to contribute to the evolution of consciousness" = same nasty lady accused me of, "plagiarizing others brilliance and something needs to be done about it".  and more! -  because I would not submit to their mean-spirited will.

In Ken Wilber's words  *author of many books on human development and consciousness* from: The Eye of Spirit an Integral Vision for a World Gone Slightly Mad, page 94-95

Integral philosophy itself is of the mental domain, and cannot by itself, with its mental devices alone, step beyond that sphere. But it firmly acknowledges the role of contemplation in generating data, and it takes that data into account in its own coordinating and elucidating activities. If it does not itself deliver meditative data, it firmly acknowledges the existence and importance of that data. It is mandalic reason at its finest and most encompassing. It knows the difference between relative truth, which it can divulge, and absolute truth, for which it must yield to the eye of contemplation.

*  I am glad to say that today I edit-improved one of my sloppily written posts  from May/2010, titled:  The Aim of Supramental Yoga -- if curious
